Lernpoint has successfully completed the EU project “Promoting STEM education through e-scooters”.

Through innovative approaches and dedicated teachers, we have not only imparted knowledge, but also aroused enthusiasm. By using e-scooters, we have made the learning environment dynamic and facilitated access to STEM subjects in a new, exciting way. We look forward to implementing further innovative projects for our pupils.

As part of the project, 13 teachers received specialized training in STEM education in the STEM laboratory at the University of Augsburg. We developed five independent modules specifically for the STEM sector that are perfectly tailored to the learning objectives. The participants’ learning deficits were determined through pre-tests.

A total of 50 students took part in a pilot STEAM training course, which was assigned to 45 students in Augsburg and Vienna based on their individual learning needs. The training courses were carried out according to the principles of “learning by doing” and “gamification”.

After the pilot training, the learning deficits were reassessed with post-tests and it was found that they had been significantly reduced in at least 44% of pupils. At the end of the training, each participant received a certificate and an e-scooter as recognition.
