The HUMELODY Project
The HUMELODY project is designed to empower young migrants through the universal mediums of art, music, and sport, enhancing their awareness and advocacy of human rights. It aims to foster positive change within communities by equipping young migrants with the skills necessary to become ambassadors for their rights and those of others.
Objectives:
– Empower young migrants as advocates for human rights within their communities while equipping them with essential soft skills such as communication, critical thinking, empathy, teamwork, and cultural sensitivity to navigate challenges and foster positive change.
– Support and empower youth workers with tools and resources to effectively engage and empower both young migrants and their communities, thereby enhancing the overall impact and sustainability of the project’s efforts.
– Empowering young migrants with knowledge about their human rights through educational keynote sessions, and organizing inclusive community-based workshops that integrate art, music, and sport-based activities to explore the rich
diversity within the migrant population and promote awareness of human rights.
– Encourage collaboration with different organizations focused on the development of young migrants, aiming to enhance societal impact, break down barriers between local communities and migrants, and promote mutual understanding.
The HUMELODY project has developed a suite of events aiming to spread knowledge, engage young migrants, and facilitate the practical application of human rights advocacy. Tangible results include a booklet, website, 3 webinars, 3
keynote sessions, 3 local workshops, and 3 Final Results Meetings. In conclusion, HUMELODY will effectively empower young migrants and fulfill its objectives through this comprehensive series of events.
Project description: The HUMELODY project aligns its objectives with its priorities, focusing on empowering young migrants through human rights advocacy and enhancing the quality and impact of youth-directed initiatives. By equipping young migrants with advocacy skills and knowledge about human rights, the project aims to cultivate them into community leaders, promoting
active citizenship and initiative. Moreover, the organization of educational and creative workshops aims to amplify the effectiveness and visibility of youth work, contributing to innovation and recognition of youth-directed initiatives. Additionally, by providing tools, resources, and training, HUMELODY enables youth workers to effectively engage and empower both young migrants and their communities. This dual approach strengthens the overall support ecosystem for young migrants, facilitating sustainable change and advocacy efforts within communities.
